PJ Farley

Born in Fayetteville (North Carolina), he began playing drums at the ripe old age of 12 years old, playing Rhythm and blues with his father. Also playing in the high school marching band. At the age of 18, he went on tour with the Motown stars Mary Wells and Cecil Womack, ending the tour with the Soul band “Sam & Dave”.

Entered the U. S. Navy and played in the drum Corp, and later aboard ship with the ships band. After leaving the Navy he was a forming member of the band Horizon, performing as opening act for the rock band Toto. Also as stage band for the late Motown artist Eddie Kendrick (formerly of the Motown vocal group the Temptations).

Moved to Deutschland in 1980, reformed the band Horizon, disbanded in 1982. He then joined the rock band Forest as drummer and backing vocals. For over 25 years with Forest and other bands, he eventually joined the group Hardride as drummer and backing vocals. After 14 years on the drum kit he moved up front as front man.

He now play as drummer for the progressive rock band Brain Drain, now wearing two hats: as Drummer and front man. In two groups.
